MVV Umwelt GmbH pulls out of tender

Leeds City Council has announce MVV Umwelt GmbH, (MVV) has decided to withdraw from the Leeds Residual Waste Treatment project.

This leaves 3 bidders still in the tender process:

• Aire Valley Environmental;
• Veolia ES;
• United Utilities.

Waste Not Wanted

Leeds City Council is planning to re-open the derelict waste transfer station between Evanston Avenue and Redcote Lane, next to the Leisure Park. Residents may remember that previous waste transfer site that afflicted the surrounding area with foul smells, plagues of flies and additional heavy traffic Kirkstall Road.
